Any adult, registered climber may supervise up to two novice climbers. The registered climber and novice climbers should check in at Reception and pay normal entry fees. Registered climbers may not use the abseil tower facility without supervision. If you'd like to bring in more people or if you are using The Castle for professional coaching, please read the information below carefully.
We welcome professional coaches using our facilities. Both the coach and climber(s) should be registered to climb at The Castle. Climbers will need to check in at Reception and pay their normal entry fee. Coaches should get in touch with us prior to accepting any bookings at The Castle (firstname.lastname@example.org). We waive the entry fee for recognised coaches.
Only qualified instructors may supervise more than two climbers. Each instructor may supervise up to 9 climbers. The group must complete a Group Registration Form. All groups must be booked in advance (email@example.com).
The Group Leader (who may also be the Instructor) will supervise their group the entire time that they are at The Castle. They are responsible for gaining parental consent for any climbers under 16.
The Instructor is responsible for the safety of the climbers during the scheduled climbing session. They must complete an Instructor Registration Form.
There is no fee to register as an Instructor at The Castle. Registered Instructors will not be charged an entry fee when they are bringing in a group to The Castle. They are entitled to a trade discount at other times. Climbers will be charged the normal one-off entry fee.
For all groups of 10 or more, an additional fee of £50 (+VAT) will be charged. For groups up to 9 climbers, the additional fee will only be charged if they require exclusive use of an area or use of the abseil tower.

Using the Abseil Tower
Instructors may not use our abseil facilities unless they have received a site-specific induction. To book an induction please contact Iwona@castle-climbing.co.uk. Note that the additional fee for using the tower (see above) includes the use of in situ Castle equipment.
